We built Wicely because manufacturing R&D teams were drowning in manual research and getting data when they needed conclusions.
Our Story
We've spent years building products together across startups, scale-ups, and our own companies. Along the way, we developed a deep understanding of how manufacturing teams approach R&D, how technology decisions get made, and where the real bottlenecks slow progress.
Across industries, we saw the same problem repeat: R&D and engineering teams were drowning in patents, papers, and announcements they had no time to read. The tools meant to help delivered raw data and long lists, never the conclusions a team could act on.
The work that closed the gap (reading the field, judging what mattered for your specific products, and turning it into clear conclusions) was the job of an R&D analyst. Most teams could not hire enough of them, and the work did not scale.
We had spent years building AI products, and we saw that this analyst's work could finally be done by an agent: not a chatbot, but a system that does the job end to end.
